Lizzie vents these frustrations in an e-mail and her life is shattered: James gets the message by mistake. Lizzie soon finds herself uprooting her children to start over in a ramshackle garden cottage. Scandalized!

Can passion challenge cool, levelheaded reason? Knee-melting kisses spark more than hotelier Tony Austin or boutique owner Olivia Anderson ever planned. He wanted an heir, not a wife. She wanted a no-strings affair…and delicious memories. Scandalous? Perhaps. And it was all going perfectly—until love got in the way.

Sex Appeal

Shadow Callahan sizes up sexy, successful Brent Bramwell as perfect hunk material, ideal for her shopping mall’s contest. But take-charge Brent is much more interested in gorgeous, irrepressible Shadow, whose Sex Appeal shop and its, uh, eclectic merchandise make this in-control guy realize he’s been missing out. He’s got a wild side. And Shadow makes him want to misbehave…. (more…)

Being the tag-along on a camping trip with Heather and Graham is not what Cassandra has in mind for her long weekend. However, when a tall dark stranger with staggering green eyes shows up to lend a hand with her tent assembly from Hell, she has to rethink her predicament. Despite the mixture of excitement and apprehension he incites with his soul-startling stare, the possibility that she’s just found her brawny Tarzan in the depths of Redwood National Park suddenly doesn’t seem so absurd.

Cray feels an equally potent draw to the fiery red head with the soft hazel eyes, attractive features, and tempting shape. Despite his resolve, she provokes a primordial calling he’s long sought to contain. He wants this female, he can’t deny, but he knows giving in to such unabashed urges can lead to disaster, and he refuses to sentence this woman to his own horrid fate.

But just as is powerful as Cray’s attraction is his unexpected surge of protectiveness. There’s something about Cassandra’s male friend that needles his suspicion. Graham invokes his predatory sense of dominance, and that doesn’t bode well. If his instincts are correct, Graham is more than he appears and Cassandra’s life is in danger.

Lycan Lore 2: Offspring by Shannon Leigh

lycanlore21Lycan Lore 2: Offspring by  Shannon Leigh

Amber Quill Press

Nine months ago, Heather’s life took a dramatic change. She became a werewolf. Shortly thereafter, a lycan hunter named Cray murdered her sire, leaving her to struggle through her horrible existence alone.
But if turning into a bloodthirsty, ravenous, beast of the night wasn’t bad enough, she’d also conceived a child on the evening of her attack. With the next lunar cycle about to begin, the hunter hot on her heels, and her unborn child at stake, she’s desperate to stay alive. Hoping the hordes of partying females will mask her scent, she flees to the crowded shores of South Beach, right into the arms of a local college student named Mike, a man who could prove more than a one-night stand.

Born a lycan, bred a hunter, Cray McCorbin has learned to control his inner beast, as well as accept the responsibility of eliminating other wolves who can’t. He’s not proud of his job—killing isn’t something he enjoys—and prefers to consider himself a protector of humanity, despite his own heritage. Nine months ago, however, fate intervened in his miserable life and fulfilled the old lycan lore, presenting him with a mate. Cassandra, Heather’s best friend, is all Cray’s ever dreamed of and more. But destiny can sometimes come with a cruel hand. Though he’d gladly give his life for her, his duties as a hunter come first. He can’t allow any renegade werewolf to escape, not even Cassandra’s best friend…

Happy Easter

April 12, 2009

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter.

I looked everywhere for additional Easter Hotties but beside my cute previously posted boy bunny, I could only find this Easter basket with a pair of pastel twins to accompany it.

The Pirate Lord by Sabrina Jeffries

Avon Books

A Splendid Opportunity

A shipload of women—theirs for the taking! Pirate captain Gideon Horn couldn’t be more delighted. His men are tired of wandering the high seas and want to settle down with wives on an uncharted island paradise. And the women will surely be grateful for rescue from the life of drudgery awaiting them in New South Wales… Lord, he’s so clever!

A Splendid Passion

Married? To pirates? Sara Willis couldn’t be more appalled. First she demands proper courting—at least a month. The darkly handsome pirate lord gives them a week. Then Sara insists the men vacate their huts for the women—Gideon demands her kisses in return. As the demands heat up, so do their passions—and soon Sara can’t remember just why she’s fighting the devilishly seductive captain so hard

The Pirate Lord is a re-issue of her 1998 book and I have to say I enjoyed this light historical romance. I do not know if any parts were re-written or if scenes were added but I felt that it is perfect just the way it is in this book.
