I normally am quiet but in light of events that have been happening in the world of racing I have to make a plea on behalf of my daughter.

My oldest daughter Katie is an avid runner and also volunteers at Paws. She once again is running in the Rock and Roll Half Marathon for Team Paws. This wonderful organization needs our help.

I’ve always been big on volunteering, especially for Animal Welfare, Paws, etc..

If everyone donated a dollar, imagine how much closer Katie would be to her goals. The race is in July. This is one of Paws big fundraisers. All done by their volunteer runners.

Cheers to those who continue to run and not give in to fear.

Please consider donating to this worthy cause. Every dollar helps.

There are not 249 days as listed on the page to raise the money for this event. The date of the Chicago Rock & Roll Half Marathon is July 21, 2013. There is only 2 ½ months. The 249 days is for PAWS total fundraising goal for the year.

Thanks you for helping if you can.

Cleaning House

November 22, 2011

So, I inadvertently did a boo boo.

I posted my reviews on my site but I had previously given said reviews to a review website and they had published them. Mind you, this was many moons ago. I was just notified that I can’t put my reviews that I wrote on my site but I can provide a link to the ones that appear on their site (edited or not) that I had submitted to them.

So I’ll be doing a little cleaning here.

With the massive amount of traveling I’ll be doing, it may be a tiny bit before another of my reviews gets posted in full here.

In the meantime, do link to my reviews. They are what I wrote. It’s just that you’ll have to go an extra step to see the old ones now.

And to easy the process ………….

It’s Time To Clean House A Bit

Do A Little Laundry

Wash  Up

Make Everything Squeaky Clean

Don’t Worry

I’ll Be Grinding Away Whenever I Can To Get It All Finished

I’m Hoping Before Christmas

I Do

Thanks again for checking out the old reviews through the links I’ll be providing.

Win a copy of A Wolf Signs by Vivian Arend!

Wolf Signs

Robyn Maxwell doesn’t care that her brother has to cancel out on their backcountry ski trip. She can do it alone. The fact she’s deaf doesn’t make her survival skills any weaker. The chance to get away from it all and relax in the Yukon wilderness is just what she’s been craving.

Meeting wilderness guide Keil at the cabin starts cravings of another kind. Keil’s one hot hunk of ripped, tasty male. Now she has to deal with raging hormones as well as strange questions about wolves and mates and challenges to the death.

Keil was trying for a nice reflective retreat before challenging for the Alpha position of his Alaskan pack. He wasn’t planning on meeting the woman destined to be his mate, or finding out she’s not aware she has the genes of a wolf.

Between dealing with his accident-prone younger brother, a deaf mate with an attitude and an impending duel to the death, his week—and his bed—is suddenly full.

Far from the relaxing getaway any of them had in mind…

Leave a comment for a chance to win a digital copy of Wolf Signs!

I’m Back

May 29, 2010

I just wanted to thank everyone for being so patient. I know it’s been a while since my last post. I honestly tried to keep up with posting for the past year but it was hard to do.

One of our children had several major surgeries, then got married two months later. We had two family member develop cancer. My sister made it and so far it looks good for her.  My father-in-law fought for nine months but lost his battle in April. We are still having a hard time recovering but life goes on and we are looking forward to a new baby in our family.

I’ll slowly be getting back up to speed and posting more reviews as quickly as I can read and write them. I’ll also have more pictures to help brighten your day. I love eye candy and love to share.

Since the loss of her parents, Meredith Burnley has contented herself with a solitary life looking after her half-sister Annabel. Desperate, Meredith only has one choice: to flee with Annabel to their estranged grandparents’ home. But their arrival soon reignites a family scandal and kindles unexpected romance.

Happily reunited with the girls, Annabel’s grandmother resolves to convince her nephew, Stephen Mallory, the Marquess of Silverton, to abandon his rakish lifestyle and wed Annabel. Stephen is clearly captivated — but with the wrong sister. Determined to make Meredith his own, Stephen embarks on a seduction that will leave her with no choice but to surrender to his touch…

Love and sacrifices, madness, poison and kidnapping all combine in a heart stopping love story that had me on the edge of my chair.

A Slave of My Own Desire By Eve Summers

SlaveMyOwnDesire-200x300A Slave of My Own Desire By  Eve Summers

Red Rose Publishing

Can hot steamy chocolate and warm vanilla mix or are they separate? Never the two to twine? Is it time for a nice treat or is it only a trick, a slight of the hand?

Clare’s ex-fiancé treated her like a queen: he was kind, attentive to her needs in bed and b-o-r-i-n-g. He never made her do what she wanted him to make her do.

From the moment Clare sets eyes on David at a Halloween party, her hormones go wild with desire. His arrogant smile promises something darker, deeper and more intense. He is Trouble – with a big, big T. And yet, the mistake of letting him would be even bigger.

David believes love is not worth the pain it brings, no matter how divine Clare looks in her goddess costume. To him, she is just a rich white girl bored of vanilla sex, and he is happy to show her a good time.

So why does he melt inside every time their eyes meet?

Harlequin –

Samhain Press –

Changeling Press –

Savannah Chase –

Dee Dawning –

J.M. Snyder –

Kate Hill –

I hope everyone enjoys the stories until I come back. There are so many to choose from just from what I listed that I am sure you will find something to heat up your summer days. Enjoy.

Danny Williams is pleasantly surprised when one Friday night, Sarah, his comely wife, proposes a game to engender fresh excitement into their flagging sex life.

Handing Danny a copy of the erotic Lascivious Liaisons by Madame X, she suggests they re-enact a sex scene from the book once a week. After acting out the first scene for a heated night of sex, skeptical Danny is convinced and looking forward to the next ‘By the Book’ night.

However, unknown to Danny, Sarah has a plan within a plan. After several ‘By the Book’ nights, things start to unravel and events swing beyond Danny’s control, ultimately changing their lives…forever

This story was sizzling from start to finish. I know that there are a lot of books out there that can help married couples but I doubt that there is one like Lascivious Liaisons by Madame X. I can see a wife or husband wanting to bring a little extra back into a marriage and looking for help in a book. When Danny and Sarah act out chapters in the book, I loved how the story flowed from the book to their reality.

Asian Spice by Dana Littlejohn

Phaze Books

Taniea is dumped by her boyfriend for being too bold, too aggressive and too mouthy. Throwing herself into her new job she traveled to China and met Michael Shen. She convinced him that a fling while she was in his country would be time well spent for them both. Would two weeks of Taniea be too much for Michael to handle or will he leave everything he knows to have a thousand more with her?

Asian Spice is an intriguing tale of different cultures and standard stereotypes. We have Taniea Onxy, a young black woman who is climbing her way to the top of the corporate ladder in the automobile industry. Her boyfriend is DeMarcus Green, who is very insecure. He breaks up with Taniea over a voice message due to his belief that a man should make more money than a woman. I believe Taniea is better off without  a man who believes in the stereotype of  the little woman being dependent on a man.
